Biden calls U.S. ally Japan ‘xenophobic,’ along with China and Russia
“Think about it. Why is China stalling so bad economically?” he said. “Why is Japan having trouble? Why is India? Because they’re xenophobic. They don’t want immigrants.”
Japan is a longtime U.S. ally in the Asia-Pacific, and Biden has been strengthening security ties with Tokyo to counter China in the region, having hosted Prime Minister Fumio Kishida for a summit and state dinner in Washington last month. While India is not a formal U.S. ally, the South Asian nation of 1.4 billion is also considered a critical U.S. partner in the region and Prime Minister Narendra Modi also made a state visit to Washington last year.

it was not a particularly smart thing for him to say, but he IS right. If you have ever lived in Japan, let me tell you, they do NOT want you there if you are not Japanese. In fact, my cousin had a child with a Japanese woman and when they divorced, he was REQUIRED to take his half bread child back with him to the US. He was happy to do so. To this day his son, although fluent in Japanese, faces racism whenever he returns to visit is mother. It is a huge problem in Japan and they need to deal with it. They aren’t having enough children to replace the population. They better take those half-bread and love them.

America is no less racist, than Japan.
Yes there are strict requirements for a westerner to move to, and buy property in Japan, being able to speak Japanese, is one of them.
One just has to look at Britain, and Australia to see multiculturalism failing, and tearing our countries, and cultures apart.

Yep, something he definitely should not have said. I’m hoping to visit Japan for the first time next year, but I suppose as a tourist there won’t be any issues of not being welcome (hopefully).

Japan is one of the most racist countries in the world; but it is more nuanced and culturally based. In America we are true racists in the worst way. Our racism is used to cover up and deny our shame, fake patriotism and guilt of our past.
