    Make sure you research a medicine fully, understanding the potential long term side effects from taking a medication, before deciding to take it. I have been visiting a friend at an assisted living place, I have met people that have had issues, such as memory loss and losing the ability to drive again because of it. It is important to weigh the benefits and negatives of taking a medication and deciding from there what is right for you. Possibly look into seeing if there are natural/safe alternatives to taking a medication, such as changing your diet, exercise, meditation, etc.
