Hi, I have a 2013 Prius that is supposed to use 0W-20 oil BUT I have 112K to 120K miles on the car, and unlike another Prius I owned, model year 2016, this car is consuming oil. I want to get away from the dealership oil changes because the dealership wants me to buy a new engine @ $6,000. I though all I had to spend was $4,000 for a hybrid battery replacement at 150K to 180K miles.
So, I think I need to find a video that talks about 0W-20 instead 5W-30, yes?

If I get away from my Toyota Dealer, it looks like I will be looking at ILSAC certified

    – Penzoil Platinum High Mileage Full Synthetic?

    – Mobil 1 recommended alternative

    – Mobil 1 High Mileage for engines with 75K + Miles

    – Royal Purple High Mileage Motor Oil?

    – Valvoline?

    – Amsoil

    and their appropriate oil filters?

In this video, the High Mileage oil claim wasn’t explained. If you have a high mileage car, you don’t agree that there is something about high mileage oil that meets the need?
