Anti-LGBTQ activist arrested for taking mocking selfie in hospital room of critic’s dying father
An anti-LGBTQ activist has been arrested and charged with criminal harassment after he invaded the hospital room of a dying man and took a selfie, the CBC reported.
Bubba Christopher Michael Pollock, 34, was arrested by Windsor police in the Canadian province of Ontario after he went into the hospital room of the father of a person who criticized him on social media.
Britt Leroux, 36, slammed Pollock on social media for his protesting of Pride events, particularly his plan to protest a drag queen story hour that was to take place locally.
According to police, Pollock discovered that Leroux’s father was dying of pancreatic cancer at a hospital in Windsor. Leroux’s father’s hospital stay was widely publicized after she married her now-husband on the hospital’s grounds on May 19 so that her father could attend.
Pollock traveled to her father’s room and took a selfie and then posted the picture in the social media comment thread where Leroux had criticized him.
