What is the difference if it is fried chicken or some plant based substance that is deep fried. Both are fried in the same toxic, nasty grease with all the same added amount of salt. I wouldn’t touch any of this crap, no thank you!

Because one enslaves an animal against their will, and brutally murders them. The other does not. However, the health aspects are a different argument. I won’t support this because it’s still giving my money for them to kill more animals, even if I’m buying the vegan option.

A lot of people are looking to reduce their meat consumption for various reasons so I’d assume KFC is simply trying to cash in on that much like Burger King and other fast food places. But yeah, it’s not really a product geared to the health and fitness crowd any more than regular KFC is.

I can’t say I feel as strongly about it as you do. We actually have a vegan fried “chicken” place in town and I’ll get something there ever few months. Doing that isn’t going to have any real downside from a health perspective. That said, I’d rather support a local vegan business that also happens to be LGBTQ owned than go to KFC. It is just far more in line with my overall ethics.

And I thought fast food could not get any worse.

I feel like the nature of fast food is to always figure out a way to make things worse.
