This is horrible and it is going to be much harder to have endurance sports events due to erratic abnormal weather due to climate change. We already had a couple of nights in the upper 60s here in Buffalo which is above average for May. What makes running in warm temperatures even harder is hilly or rolling topography along with streets that are not shaded by trees and large buildings. Also participants should always check and see if they are in good enough physical shape to run long distances. They also should be well practiced in running longer distances otherwise they could be creating major health risks for themselves.
