I always liked Adam Lambert — what an incredible voice and look. That said, I found this song “Lube” disappointing and very mediocre compared to things he’s done in the past. It’s not surprising that it never charted in the U.S. or UK. Clearly, this stylized statement piece of his queerness didn’t sell.
