Same experience for me. It’s as if there is malware that indicates to them, all new profiles that have been opened and consequently messages are then generated.

I can see that the users that sent me 5 of the 6 messages I received in the first two days have been deleted, so someone must have reported them. A report profile button is the best way to go.
