Check-in Friday
Happy Friday, everyone!
As we roll into the weekend, it’s the perfect time to pause, reflect, and reset. I ask every member of the Flex Ed Lifestyle Association to do this every Friday, as Fridays are my favorite day to take a step back and ask: how did I show up this week? Did I push my limits, stay consistent, and work toward my goals? Or did I let a few things slide that I need to tighten up next week?
Check-in days are a habit I’ve tried to build over time with Flex Ed members, and I can’t recommend them enough. Whether you’re crushing workouts, chasing professional goals, or just trying to live a more balanced life, setting aside a moment to evaluate your progress can be a game-changer.
Here’s a simple formula I use for my check-ins:
-
Wins of the Week: What am I proud of? Maybe it was sticking to my meal prep, hitting a PR in the gym, or finally tackling that project I’ve been putting off. Celebrate those victories — big or small, they’re all steps forward.
-
Challenges Faced: What could have gone better? No shame here, just honesty. Identifying where I struggled helps me plan smarter for the week ahead.
-
Next Week’s Focus: What’s one thing I can commit to improving or doubling down on? Keeping it realistic and actionable is key.
This practice isn’t just about accountability; it’s about growth. It’s a reminder that every day, we have the chance to evolve and become a better version of ourselves. And let’s be honest — there’s something empowering about owning your journey and taking responsibility for your progress.
I’m curious: how do you check in with yourself? If you have tips, strategies, or a favorite Friday ritual, drop it in the comments. Let’s share ideas and inspire each other to keep leveling up.
Lastly, if you’re looking for a little extra motivation or a community that shares your passion for fitness and personal growth, there are so many great spaces out there where like-minded people come together to support each other. Being part of a group that challenges and uplifts you can make all the difference.
Here’s to a strong finish to the week and an even stronger start to the next one!
