I was there once while visting LA in 1991. A guy came up to me and I started to chat with me. First question he asked was .. Where are you from. I told him that I am visiting from Canada. He then said,, so you can speak french,, I replied yes, but only a little. Hem then said something very fast in French. I didn’t understand what he said so asked him to repeat himself.. He then said.. you are not a true Canadian. I then asked where he was from. He said his family has been in LA for three generations. I asked him if he could sday something in Mexcian.. He got really offened and threw his drink at me. We both were kicked out
