Another long-running athletic team, the "Tsunami" swim team, is about to celebrate its 20th anniversary. What is remarkable about the Tsunami swimmers, says Jim Provenzano, is what is also perhaps surprising about a lot of the other gay athletes; because they are so visible at the Gay Games, and win so many awards there, people often assume that's the only place they compete, but actually they are also extremely successful in the mainstream sporting world, and win many awards at non-gay sporting events.
