BODY & MIND
Queer in the Canyon

Returning our rental equipment to Zion Adventure Company was harder than a hundred foot fall. After so much effort getting down, all I wished for was to be back up on that rope in Pine Creek. "Do you think this is something you should do again?" asked Evan, counting our boots to make sure all were there.
"Do you have a better suggestion? "I asked back.
"It's fun in spring when there are waterfalls." He answered.
"Good" I smiled "I like it."
Only as the facilitators of learning waved us good-bye on our ascent to Los Angeles did I understand the canyoneering-bum addiction. Their nimble euphoria merged with humbling geography is the perfect recipe for a divine, inner connection. These conclusions, however, need be arrived at by oneself. But once you commit, it can be very empowering.
