That makes sense. HPV is already linked to genital warts, penile cancer and anal cancer in men. Here's a good but brief run down of it...

I vote for full body condoms and an HPV vaccine.

Now there's an idea that would make me feel much safer with all the sex freaks out here in SF!

Damn... maybe I should just go be a monk...

EDIT:

Oh wait... yeah Human Papillomaviruses aren't new. I've seen pictures of it (genital warts on females) during my 3 years in BS Biology (before shifting to a course closer to my heart). It was gross.

Though those that cause genital warts usually aren't the same types as those that cause cancer.

"The good news is that survival rates for the cancer are also increasing. That's because tumors caused by HPV respond better to chemotherapy and radiation, Gillison said."

Take it from me, the fact that they can cure a cancer doesnt mean it is a walk in the park to go thru the therapy.

Men can get the HPV vaccine too. There are several trials being performed across the country.

you do realize that hpv is visible to the naked eye right? If the dick don't look right, don't suck it.

Please tell me you are not that naive. HPV can be transmitted from an asymptomatic individual to their partner. Just because you can't see it, doesn't mean it's not there.

Well I'm glad I haven't reverted back to my old barfly ways. Maybe I should extra careful dating a guy, so I get to know them and their history better before proceeding to have intercourse. It sucks that it has to be this way now.

The HPV vaccine is inapplicable to most of the men on this site. I asked my doctor about it and if you have had like 5 sexual partners in your life you are probably already an asymptomatic carrier and the vaccine is just a big waste of money.

Also much less point after your late 20's. It seems to be less effective then, in trials.

I think people should not take a risk and drive in cars, or planes...or what about the folks who skydive, hanglide and race cars? I think they are asking for it. In fact isn't it better to be safe rather than sorry and not do anything that has risk? ( don't go out of the house).

In other words, you gotta balance safety and pragmatism. STD's and such have been around for centuries. At best, you have to make informed choices, but nothing is guaranteed. I, for one, ain't wearing a full body wrap. HIV is a different story. Always wear a condum with anal sex.

XRuggerATX has cat scratch fever. Someone in Austin needs to help him out since apparently, vagisil didn't cure his problem.
