I had a little visit with my doctor today. He took a look at my vitals and noticed I weighed 8 pounds more than I did when he last saw me. He took my weight and height and walked over to a BMI chart and declared me 'overweight'.

"It looks like you have gained a bit of weight"
"YA!"
"You really should go on a diet and lose a few pounds"

You have to love a health metric that puts the beefiest of body builders in the same 'obese' category as the chunkiest of opera tenors.

My doctor may be stupid for using it, but I am excited I have gained so much weight since I really started lifting religiously eight months ago.

Just thought I would share.

BMI is bunk.

I have a BMI of 30. So there. Sometimes even about a 32. Fucking dildo breathes.

Your doctor needs to be fired. BMI is garbage, and any good doctor knows it.

Get huge.

BMI is only a decent measure of anything when coupled with life's mitigating factors like bone density, muscle mass. If your doctor had some really specialized equipment like....operational eyeballs...he could probably make such a determination.
