Yeah, Christmas definitely doesn't have its roots in Christianity. It's more or less a carbon copy of the ancient-Greek celebration of the winter solstice.

And wasn't Jesus Christ actually born in September or something? Guess it's hard to determine since our modern calendar wasn't used then, eh?

Erm... it's druidic actually, hence the yule log, the tree, and the mistletoe. Still winter solstice though.

Still, it's one of the holidays I really like. It transcends religion nowadays anyway.

If Jesus Christ was an actual person (and that is in doubt) then scientists suspect he was born in April, due to a very rare event in the solar system re. Mars. They suspect that Mars was the actual star of bethlehem.

No, because not all Americans celebrate Christmas.
