This has to be one of my favourite films, it's so uplifting, funny and warm-hearted. And Toni Collette and Rachel Griffiths are perhaps the most under-rated actresses of our generation.

What's your favourite film and why?

Well, I really love "Nightmare Before Christmas" something about that movie really makes me feel calm and centered in the world, plus Danny Elfman's scores drive me wild, I love the stuff he puts together.

My second and third favorite movies are, Pedro Almodovar's "Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown", and the always fun movie "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes- I love Jane Russel in this one!

I also love "The Poseidon Adventure" I still cry a little when Shelly Winters dies, "Southpark: Bigger Longer Uncut" Amazing animation and musical, "The Others" Nicole Kidman was creepy as Hell, and "Volver" another great Almodovar film that I cannot get enough of. Also if you haven't seen it "Road Home" is great with Zhang Ziyi.

I know I've gone a bit overboard here, but I used to work in a Video rental store and so I like watching movies. Go figure.

I saw Muriel's Wedding here in Washington DC.
The night I saw it,,,there were 20 people from the Australian Embassy sitting behind me. Made the movie quite memorible.

"Muriel's Wedding" is terrific..
My favourite line:

"Since I met you, my life is better than any ABBA song. Even Dancing Queen."

Well, for the last couple of weeks, my favorite movie has been "Brick" with Joseph-Gordon Levitt (sp?). I had a highschool reunion recently and the dynamics, AND self-awareness, of the highschol cliques in the movie nailed my (great) highschool experience.

But yeah, I loved Muriel's Wedding. Her "fiance" was cute, and I really like Rachel Griffiths.

Didn't Rachel have a three-way in the movie with two guys?

"Muriel's Wedding" is the only movie we own. It is so hilarious and also very touching. Our favourite line from the movie which we repeat to each other everytime one of us gets away with something sneeky is "You're terrible Muriel". The gal who plays Muriel's sister says it a few times in the movie but the best tiime is after Muriel has stolen some money from her Dad to go on a wild vacation. The grin on her face is priceless. What superb acting.
