I'm feeling a bit nervous about it as this is the first time I have ever commited to something like this.

Good for you. Don't give up.

Do it for your health an not the looks, and you'll do great.

I am in there with you, NoName. We can commisserate together over our plate of lettuce ...

I am very excited. I need something like this to make me commit. I think I will have an easier time commiting, since I know it is being guided by someone who knows what he is doing.

One more who's in there with NoName and Caslon. I'm looking forward to it. Of course, it's going to push me a bit, but that's the whole point.

I will be a part of the challenge as well and am very anxious and excited about the possibilities. I have really "let myself go" over the past 12 years. Now that I am ALMOST 40...I'm beginning to realize what a benefit being in shape is to my health. I won't be able to lose all the weight I NEED to lose during the next 8 weeks, but I will complete this challenge and then continue until I reach my goal; to be back to my pre-relationship weight and be much stronger and healthier than today.

This is all about trying something new, and knowing that you have the support to do it. Between the guys here and the nutritionists getting us to do something different, it should help out of a lot.

Sure this can be scary, but think of it as a way to get a different result from what you've accomplished before.

I get the feeling that there will be plenty of opportunities with this to post and get help. I think it will be a welcome positive contribution to the boards.

You've got great support from all of us that have been where you are! You've made the choice....that is the hardest part. Now just do it.....YEA!

One of my favorite sayings;

"Believing requires action"

That's where you are.

Go for it!

I am glad that there already is so much support! I also entered and was chosen. I really want to be trim... my weight has fluctuated a lot (for me) over the last 10 years. Some of it was just puberty and then college, but now I'm an adult in the real world, and over the last 4 months, I've gained 15 lbs. Very disappointing to myself when I entered the contest and weighed myself. I am very much looking forward to dropping back down to a 32" waist (I HOPE!) if not, just trimming down and losing fat would be great!

I want to wish tons of luck and support to my comrades in this lifestyle changing adventure! It's going to be fantastic

My biggest problem is that I just recently starting moving backwards instead of forwards. I had made so much great progress this year when I started getting into triathlons. I was losing weight, toning up, and feeling great. Then in June of this year, for some reason I'm still not sure of, I lost all control. I started eating everything that wasn't tied down, I lost almost all interest in working out and had to force myself to, maybe, run once a week and workout once a week.

I'm hoping this will show me how to keep my energy up by controlling how I eat and what foods I eat.

Very excited,
Den

Hey Everyone! When I found out that they picked me, I was shocked! Now I really have to do this! I do have the support of my husband and friend so hopefully I will do well! I hope ALL of us do well! Let's all support each other and I am sure we can learn to make this lifestyle change a permanent one!

Hugs to all of you and thanks ahead of time for everything!!

One more contestant, saying hi to you all

I'm also pretty nervous about this - usually pretty shy and introverted, so this is an opportunity not only for me to loose weight, but to get myself out there and try and meet some people.

Heh, I think this is even my first post on these forums...

Good luck to everyone!

This is pretty awesome getting the support and everything!

I too got accepted into the challenge and can't wait for it to start...

It's one of those things that will definitely be a life changing experience.

At the end of this challenge, I'm going to have my 21st birthday so I definitely want to start the rest of my life on a high note...

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE THAT GOT ACCEPTED!

If you ever need motivation for those times that you feel like giving up, give me a holler! Your not the only one in this challenge who might be having trouble!

Don't forget me! I'm sure we'll all do fine. I think my biggest challenge will be keeping my cardio consistent. And of course, keeping away from the booze on the weekend!
