This is something that happens almost everytime I encounter DL men. Whats so special about them? What makes them so different than a gay man? Are they really the pretty boys? The Gym Jocks? The Brainy geeks? Can you tell If a guys on the DL? I mean really or do you just use sterotype? I think the bond with a DL man is much more emotional, affectionate and tight like a brother. He will keep himself in a masculine sort of way like your lover or should I say partner. when I'm with a gay man it can become so causual and loose. I must note though the sex starts out fantastic. The DL guys seems to know if you start to have feelings for them and sex may or may not happen because they will always try to put their female partners first. This I find really disturbing and I wish they wouldn't do this. I think the reasons for this is they are suffering from guilt having feelings for another man and feel the need to prove to themselves that they can function normally in the heterosexual world. A lot of these guys suffer from that hint of justified homophobia where as social death comes from being found out about or suspected of being gay. I know cause I've experianced some of that myself and it can be really tough to deal with there are alot of anti gays out there. Thats why when you get involved with a DL man thats the way he wants to keep it On the Down Low and I can respect that but what about me?

str8 men do this too as do all females. people may date all the time and keep it on the low. u are not going to change the fact that he does not want to ne found out or that he does not want to live his life as a gay man, meaning, for u, u must understand that that is the way it is, and if u cant deal with it then u must leave them alone. it sucks for u, if u grow feelings that wont be reciprocated, but it is what it is, and u have to decide if u can handle it or if u must leave the temptation alone.

DL is inherently doomed. Its impetus is dishonesty.

As I understand it: A person who fits the DL "profile" is one who is undetectable.

There is usually an unknowing significant other of the opposite sex to secure the facade.

If I were to get together with somebody and learned after the fact they had a boyfriend -- that's one thing.

Look it's none of YOUR business what they're doing to other behind their back, however just keep in mind Karma is a BITCH and she DON'T play nice! So, there's nothing wrong with fucking around with them, however do not expect anything more than sex from them and if your man EVER cheats on you, well there you go....
