Brian Hawn is not only topping the charts of Logo's The Click List but he knows how to show off that BOD of his.

What do you think?

Have to admit, I had never heard of the guy...

Damn cute, damn nice body, not sure he's the greatest singer I've ever heard (not in a long shot), and the music is lifted from One Republic's Apologize... is it not?

He got my attenion, but not sure I'm sold on buying the cd.

So is he going to chart on something outside of the gay world...you know like where 97% of the rest of the music is?

And isn't this song by Timbaland?

this video of him "stripping" is a joke. He is basically just standing there swaying, off beat, to the music with some trick editing done to make it look cool.

Wow that was really negative.... i guess i am too harsh, but if you are gonna show off, set to music, at least be prepared to move along to the music even more so if you are a singer.

Yeah that was a total One Republic rip off. Nothing worse you can do than rip off a recent track on your debut album and fail at doing it too.

I think he is cute but not a good voice. Even sounds like he has a lisp on Stranded.

I wouldnt care about him if he was straight, and dont care about him now that he is gay. When it comes to music, its what good that matters to me, not if the artist is gay...

I think the funniest part of this posting. Is all you guys are judging this person so negatively, but when I look at your profiles, most of you have nothing to offer physically and obviously nothing better to do with your life than cut somebody down.

At least he is trying to be someone in the world.

I'm sorry but I can't stand judgemental negative people.

At the end of the day, you all make yourselves look bad when you put other people down

He's super hot!

His rendition of O Holy Night is incredible

and I'm just happy that their is somebody gay out there representing us in music that has something to offer physically.

Elton John and George Michael are tired, yes talented, but if their gonna be gay...they need to represent

Eh? I find it funny that his obvious erm... mediocre talent in singing is suddenly forgivable because he is hot.

There are waaay more talented people who are less hotter than he is who don't get be in the limelight simply because they are not hot enough. So it's unfair to point out the truth that he doesn't sing well at all?

Give credit where credit is deserved. He is hot, but his singing is blah. And that's being honest not negative.

I find it funnier that you think a hot guy can be forgiven simply because he is physically appealing. There's so much more that counts, like talent for one.

Now wur d popcorn?

Hello, Pot? This is the Kettle. You're black!

The whole package gets more and more ridiculous with each new video! I particularly love the sped up film of him rowing and swimming in the Baywatch film. He's like a bionic Hasselhoff!

I'm sure he's a very nice person, but the attempt at a pop star persona comes off badly. Things like the cliché furrowed brow, clenched fists and thoughtful stares into the distance coupled with the sub-standard production value and Wilson-Philips-circa-1990-mountain-top-piano-solo in "Stranded" make me think he's neither aware of the current music scene nor the image he projects. But that could be good news for all of us who have been desperately missing Carnie, Wendy and Chynna. I know I have.

Oh, and the lyrics are bland and vague. But that's just my opinion.

Several things to say about this:

1) The negative comments about the performer concerned things which are directly relevant to his performance--people stating that they don't think he has a good voice, that they think he's derivative rather than original, etc. If he wants to be a performer, it is expected that he will be publicly evaluated on his performance. The comments that aren't directly related to his performance ability are nearly universally positive--has anyone yet commented on his appearance to say he's less than attractive?

2) There's a definite tendency for certain people to throw around the word judgmental as if that's inherently a bad thing. It's not. We're supposed to make judgments about a lot of things, including whether we like the performance of a given singer. That's how the whole concept of being a professional musician works--people judge that their enjoyment of your performance is enough to buy your songs or tickets to see you in concert. If they don't think it is, you don't make money at it, and you find something else to do professionally.

3) As has been alluded to earlier, there's a bit of a pot/kettle issue going here. Lawyer354's profile consists (at the moment I write this) of a single photograph, and this is the only topic on which he's ever commented. That's not even close to being the case on anyone he's attacked, either publicly on this thread, or in the messages which he apparently sent and which have since been posted here. So, lawyer, if you feel justified in assuming that you know everything about a poster's worth based on his profile here...how is it you've got anything under your belt which makes you worthy of criticizing anyone?

Different circumstances require different levels of public approval. We hold politicians up to the spotlight in large part because the very nature of their jobs requires that we judge them to worthy of them. Very similarly, we obviously judge entertainers on whether we think they're entertaining enough to be worth our time and money. But we make similar judgments about job performance on huge numbers of people, from salesmen to cashiers to waiters and chefs to computer programmers. And it's a good thing that we do. There are times when good intentions and efforts are less important than results. While I commend people for following their dreams and giving their best shot, when it comes time to buy a CD I'm going to go with the music I find most appealing, not the person I think is necessarily trying the hardest.

is all it said. I posted to this forum almost 2 weeks ago and since I had no idea what this was in reference to, I went to respond and found his profile deleted 2 minutes after I received the message.

It took me a while to find this thread to figure out what was going on. I think, it's meant as an insult. But since it's so ambiguous, I don't know. Then again, after reading the rest of this thread, I think I can assume the negative.

MSUBioNerd has it here. I think that anyone who wants to have any kind of commercial viability needs to accept that not everyone is going to like him, that he can continue, if they wish, to develop his talent(s). I've a friend whose incredibly successful in the entertainment industry. I remember the path she took and all she had to deal with to succeed. I asked her how she dealt with failures, and she said, two things:
1. It's a business and you have to look at it that way.
What you do may be an art, but you work in a business.
2. Learn from your failures. If you have nothing but failures, then your either not learning or you have no ability in the area of your chosen talent, so switch jobs.
