Are there any organized sports clubs in NC? Specifically in Wilmington, NC/Myrtle Beach, SC area? I want to take advantage of the summer time and take part in various sports. The only thing that seems to be 'organized' here is bowling....which is an excuse for queens to drink, get drunk and smoke.
I've looked all over the website and can't seem to find anything. I could be blind though. Any help?

Man I have no idea, but I do know that Wilmington has a huge gay night life which I don't care for. My cousin lives their but he wouldnt know about all that. You should search for it or call the city hall to see what they have to offer.

There is rumor of a Front Runner's club in Wilmington, but I have seen no evidence of such. I do know there is a gay rugby club in Raleigh, but don't know about much else. I know there is a Front Runner's club in Charlotte, but that is way to far to drive for gay running company.

You could always start a running club up and see how many folks would come out for it. If I was back in NC, I would drive to Wilmington to have some gay fellowship while I ran.

There is a large bowling league in the triad. Greensboro, kernersville, Winston salem. Over 100 bowlers.

The website for the Front Runners group in Wilmington hasn't been updated for over a year. There's a phone number and an email link, though. Maybe try those and see if you get a response. It would probably not be too hard to try to start a chapter up again. All you need is a few people who agree to meet in the same spot each week and run a few miles together.
