"The study actually found that finasteride protects against both lethal and less dangerous tumors and could cut prostate cancer risk by nearly a third."

If you have a history of prostate cancer in your family, I would certainly look into this.

I was hoping that maybe some hair would grow back during the treatment. I never gave it a proper good bye.

...but you still have to die for that remark...and you seemed like such a nice boy

Sorry, couldn't resist. At times I can be a bit impish.
But in all honestly I probably won't have my hair for much longer myself. I used to take finesteride on a daily basis to try and halt hair loss. I'm honestly concerned about it myself.

I should get back to using finesteride. My doctor used to prescribe me Proscar and i would divide the 5mg tablets into 5 servings to mimic the 1mg Propecia amounts. If you explain this to your doctor in order to save money you will save a substantial amount. It' unbelievable that a 5mg tablet of Proscar and a 1mg tablet of Propecia are fairly similar in price. If I remember correctly I was saving around $60 or $70 dollars.
At the time I didn't have insurance and I don't think it is covered by insurance since it is used for cosmetic reasons. But then again if your doctor is prescribing Proscar for your prostate perhaps it will be covered.

Forgive me Caslon?

Yup I take Finasteride to prevent both hair loss and cancer growth inside my anus!

Fyi check out how I converted American health care costs into Jake healthcare costs:

Step 1: Propecia -$60/month

Step 2: Finasteride - $60/4 (because it's 5x stronger but I can divide it into four) = about $15 a month

Step 3: Generic version of Finasteride - $10. Divided by 4. About $2.50 per month.

i am amazing.
