Coz it was girls! LOL

Last night, my friends and I decided to hit some bars and well... they decided on a nearby strip club.

I didn't tell them it would be my first ever. Well... a closeted gay man wouldn't have any reason to hit a straight strip club now would he? LOL They pretty much believe I've been to several during college at another city. Wouldn't believe me when I say I didn't and wouldn't even believe me when I say I'm a virgin! LOL

The first thing that struck me on going inside was the expression the girls' faces - blank and bored. I was actually the one feeling embarrassed for them. LOL

Then the next thing I knew was the utter boredom of it all. My friends were all slack-jawed and I all I wanted was to go outside LOL. And the music was too loud and it sucked. I mean, who the hell strips to the music of Nickelback?! I like Nickelback, but it's not a stripper song! GRRR

And for some for some of the dancers.. LOL... they actually had their husbands with them!

(It seems the only ones available for *cough* sex were the single ones)

Anyway, it was a bittersweet experience. Nice because I always enjoy my friends' company and it sucked because all throughout the night I kept wanting to just blurt out that 'I'm Gay'. But meh... I wanted to do it alone with each of them. And it would've spoiled the mood.

Bleh. I got another chance to tell my bestbuddy and probably some of the others too, soon. And I'm not gonna blow it. heh

So... just sharing, heh. When did you first enter a strip club? And what were your reactions to it, especially a straight one?

That's too bad. I have actually had a great time at strip clubs. The complete tackiness and outsider's perspective always amused me. Here in texas, there are tons of titty bars. I used to frequent one for lunch for the 5.99 steak and lobster buffet (I know it sounds gross, but itwas damn good and cheap as I was not paying for "extras") My str8 friends often go to the bars with their girlfriends. As a gay man, I usually connect with one of the strippers and end up having a blast, since they know I am gay.

Its not a regular exdcursion for me, but different and really amusing nonetheless. Plus its funny to see straight guys freeak out ove3r tits.

I love female strip clubs, there's no end to the amusement of watching straight guys get hot under the collar. Back home a bunch of local strippers would hire me to do their make-up (and they paid well, bless them), and through word-of-mouth, the featured girls from out of town would hire me as well. So I got to know most of them quite well, so when I'd go with my straight brother and some of our friends, the strippers and I would really push the limits on stage.

In Canada touching is allowed, so it could get pretty raunchy. The best part of it was that it was so obvious I'm gay, and I had more than a few of the straight guys come up to me jokingly telling me they wished they were gay so they could have the fun I was having with the girls.

Meh, a friend and I kept a kid in food better than ramen noodles for an entire semester back in the day when I lived in DC.

I never said strippers were victims, doesn't mean it makes me feel 100 percent good to take part in it. Strangely enough, I really only feel this way about female strippers. Well, that's probably because I've only been to female "strip clubs." To me, it feels different when a guy is dancing at a gay bar as opposed to an entire club dedicated to stripping. It feels more fun-spirited.

I am similarly ambivalent about porn. Especially after watching Mary Carey on "Celeb Rehab with Dr. Drew."

Well, some of the strippers at the male strip club I went to were clearly troubled/struggling, potentially sucked into the situation by bad circumstances, thus straddling that opportunist/victimized line. I felt sorry for them for having to do what they were doing, yet reasoned that some of them clearly liked the attention and money, given their penchant to try to rub up against people in between their performances. Tips for the tease, so to speak.

I worked at a titty bar for about a year, it wasn't so bad. The girls were pretty trashy, but a lot of fun to party with. I also used to strip at a private gay club, for a summer, I made good money for little effort. The trolls were in abundance, you just have to know how to control them.

Im Columbus there where two types of strippers, those of us who worked the legit bars and kept the goodies covered, and the Monty trash.

Since the Monty got busted the trash has tried to infiltrate the better bars... not much luck in doing that. Most of them are now, as they always were, street hustlers.

The Monty was the bane of the legit strippers existance for quite some time. Everytime someone found out you stripped in Columbus they would say "At the Full Monty?" uuuggghhhh so glad those days are over.

LA is WAY different than Columbus LOL Here I'm the only one who can keep a beat, much less who knows how to dance.

My first experience in a strip club was quite fun. My friends were excited to find out that it was my first time so they bought me a lap dance.
