Just when you thought things were changing a little... Introducing the BK 'Steakhouse Burger"

A friend from VT told me yesterday about a new burger sandwich that Burger King is advertising, it is called a ‘Steakhouse Burger” and is advertised as follows:

“…the indulgence of an entire steak dinner at a fraction of the cost…loaded up with crispy onions, baked potato toppings, bacon, A-1 Thick and Hearty Steak Sauce, and a slice of American Cheese on top of a 100% Angus beef patty. Load up.”

Apparently, the BK chef is working very hard finding new and inventive ways to slowly kill you with fat …

What the hell is trans fat doing in a burger?

Meh, I'll stick with my cheeseburger in paradise, cooked over mesquite and apple wood under the pine trees.

Yep I saw a commercial for this 'great' new burger when I was in Houston. I felt my arteries clogging just looking at the tv.

YUK!

I seriously just gagged watching that. I have problems watching people eat anyway (which is why I have to change the channel whenever those damn Carl's Jr. ads come on), but that man's eating made me want to hurl.

Burger King- Coming To A Theater Near You

The Burger King mascot is set to star in a feature film that will focus on his back-story. Who is this Burger King weirdo, and where did he come from? Captive audiences will likely find out by the end of this year. I, for one, can't wait to pay nine dollars for a two-hour long Burger King commercial featuring the silent, creepy, mostly-human dude that sometimes haunts my dreams.

Advertisment agent actually found the plastic king's head in the trash or something like that and then adapted it to Burger King. Kind of appropriate, doncha think?

P.S. I coulda gone all day without seeing that picture....didnt I say it creeps me out. ...Sheesh!

So this will disturb you...Baskin Robins Heath Bar Shake. 2310 calories...

to give you some perspective, slurping up one 32-ounce Heath Shake is the caloric equivalent of eating 12 Krispy Kreme doughnuts, the saturated fat equivalent of scarfing 60 slices of bacon, and will give you the same sugar rush as working your way through 13 Haagen Dazs Vanilla and Almond ice cream bars.

When I was in high school, there was a BK on the corner. A friend of mine, named Nels Thorsson, was working like the junior summer to save money for a car. The BK had been closed for health violations. Nels took a job cleaning there. They had him cleaning the floor with gasolene or kerosene, but they didnt turn off the pilot flame under the water heater or some appliance. The fumes ignited. The flames raced acrossed the floor. Nels ran, but slipped. He died later at the hospital. I was told he forbade his mother from coming in to see him. He didnt want her to suffer that trauma.

Poor Nels, he never got to have a life!

I take it back after reading that terrible accident! Poor Nels! Er, why were they cleaning with gasoline in the first place? I don't think it's a good substitute for soap!

I have no problem with a nice greasy hamburger (had one last night!) but my thing is if you're going to do that kind of caloric splurge, why go to Burger King or Wendy's? If "steak" costs so little, it's got to be rank quality. I'm way more grossed out by what must be low quality food than the caloric excess.

I don't know about anybody else but I find it harder and harder to eat a lot of red meat at one time. Sort of makes me feel sick.

Reading that description made me throw up in my mouth a little (okay, not really, but you know what I mean). What would you do after eating all of that? Take a nap? Ugh!

I can't be doing with meat anyway, but that health bar shake sounds really disgusting. The fact that it has the word "health" in the title is sneaky, and mean to plumps who are trying to be good.

Actually, overeating every once in a while can be a very healthy thing. It revs up the metabolism. But that's not a license to eat the crap we're talking about in this forum.

I prefer the normal burgers that you can get when buying from a normal restaurant (i.e. not junk food joints), a grilled beef burger with a slice of cheese, and caramelized onions!

Don't forget the chips (and salad)!

Ill see if I can find it later but there is a burger much worse then the baconator or the BK burgar.

Baconator
cal 840 C from fat460 Fat 51

Steakburgar loaded
cal 970 fat 59

The other burger I seen has 16strips of bacon and a bunch of other crap. It was around 1400 calories and 74g of fat. Might as well eat a container of crisco, though i have other ideas for it

Heath, not health. Little tricky if you don't have Heath bars in your country.

I like to zone out with a big box of Fruit Loops; I Just let the sugar rush wash over me as I drool on the remote and let the cartoons educate me about all the truely important things in life.

Aww, bliss.

Yes, I do watch saturday morning cartoons; if I get up in time and if I remember. Usually too tired from playing video games all night.
