Bowl of oatmeal and a piece of fruit...
if you want to throw in protein, have a couple of hard boiled eggs.

I only workout in the mornings on weekends and here is what I eat

Pre-gym: bowl of oatmeal or bowl of high fiber/high protein Kashi cereal, 1/2 banana, 2 boiled egg whites

immediate post-gym (as I am leaving the gym): Whey protein shake

within the next 1 hr to 1.5 hrs: 2nd 1/2 of banana, chicken breast, 1.5 cups of non-fat frozen yogurt w/ frozen berries, rolled oats, and flax seed.

Most days for breakfast I have a bowl of oatmeal with some strawberry yoghurt (instead of milk) and Splenda half-brown-sugar in it and whole wheat toast with PB&J and a banana or grapefruit.. some days I have a nuked egg, cheese slice & sliced turkey sandwich on whole wheat.. and occasionally if I have time I'll have an omelette with onion, sliced turkey & cheese and toast with PB&J.

Ever since I started observing breakfast instead of just skipping it or skimping on Lucky Charms cereal, I've actually gotten to like making breakfast

Raptor saidBacon, eggs, sausage, country ham, biscuits, pancakes, waffles, cheese. Those are usually the things I eat for breakfast, believe it or not.

And it's delicious.

Since breakfast is my main meal of the day. I eat well and big. You would find most of the above, on my table, plus. If I am not going to have a big breakfast. One eats a bowl of uncooked oatmeal, with milk.

What haven't I eaten for breakfast? I usually workout in the afternoon, so breakfast is pretty substantial.

Omlette (5 whites, 1 whole egg), veggies thrown in (tomatoes, onions, peppers), whole wheat toast, coffee, juice

Turkey chili w/pretzels

Chicken tenderloins, mixed veggies and brown rice

Peanut butter (natural) and jelly (natural sweetened w/fruit juice)

Fat-free vanilla yogurt w/granola or grape-nuts

Just because it's breakfast doesn't mean you have to limit yourself to breakfast-type food items and meals.

I try to eat Steel cut oats or regular oatmeal everyday - with a little brown sugar and some milk. I also eat pineapple, watermellon, noneydew melon, strawberries, oranges, apples, grapefruit or other fruit every morning. Lime and grapefruit juice mixed in water is what I drink throughout the day. As an alt. breakfast once in awhile, I might have French toast or pancakes, eggs, bacon - but only rarely - and only if someone makes these things for me - I'm not a very good cook!

I'll tell you how I make mine. I not only have this for breakfast but I also eat it again later as an additional meal because the calories are all counted out and I know how much protein and carbs I'm getting.

8 ounces of oatmeal prepared in water. To cool it down fast I add 8 ounces of refrigerated rice milk. I don't eat dairy all that much and I really like the taste of rice milk. I add either two scoops of chocolate or vanilla protein powder in whey or egg form, a half teaspoon of cinnamon, 2 teaspoons of coconut oil (which are high in MCTs), one TBSP of flax seeds and two packets of splenda.

It's a bit soupy and I pour this into a very big drinking glass and drink it in about 2 minutes.

I also have a whole-wheat English muffin and I spray fat free butter spread on it (trans-fat free products of course).
With the oatmeal, milk and muffin I get roughly 100g of carbs, the whey or egg powdered protein gives me 40g of protein and the fats are around 15g.

For a workout pre and post meal I do something different.
I buy dextrose from the health food store. For my pre-workout meal I add 50g of dextrose with about 30 to 40g of protein, 1 teaspoon of L-glutamine all mixed with water. For a post workout meal I make the same thing. It's easy, cheaper than those brand names and basically the same thing for a lot less money. Post workout mixes are easy to carry since I have dry powder in a tumbler that only needs water added. So when I'm on the go and can't stop home after the gym this is a great and easy way to replace the glycogen burned off in the gym.
