Shopping around for options for the factory rack on my Outback. Anyone have any recommendation about Thule vs. Yakima vs. Saris or any other system?

I had Yakima on my Subaru and now I have Thule on my VW. I like my Thule rack better - I don't have to take the front wheel off and it locks onto my bike. But it's probably a "6 of one" thing.

Just be sure to get some kind of case or bra for everything you put up top... unless you really like your stuff coated with a tar of smashed bugs.

We have a Thule on our Saab and it works great. It fit perfectly into the hidden roof rack attachment.

here's a very strong recomendation for Yakima. It's much more stable than the Thule, I think much better built. Taking the front wheel off... helps with stablity and you can get put the wheel up on top too... For my money it's a Yakima hands down

I have two Yakima King Cobra bike racks for my Jeep. You don't have to take the front tire off and they support many different wheel sizes. It has been a great rack for me and I would recomend it to anyone.
