BEST splurge snack to break from a strict diet!

Ok, so when I reward myself for doing three weeks of strict dieting, I tend to dust off the box of chocolates and scarf down two truffles.

But I know there are better, maybe even healthier alternatives to splurging when a treat is deserved. I don't want to miss out on something that could surpass the richness of chocolaty goodness.

What do you suggest as a sweet, decadent treat?

I'll vouch for the skinny cows. I picked up a box in the grocery store some months ago just to give them a shot, and despite my disdain for Splenda, they actually weren't that bad. Pretty good, actually.

Honestly, I find that I've been rewarding myself with fruits and other such natural "sweets" for so long, that stuff like truffles overpower me most of the time now. It's just TOO much chocolate for me. >_<

I will say, though, Dove makes some fantastic little bite-sized chocolates that I get a total craving for sometimes. Damn the people downstairs at work for introducing me to them!!

Queso Flameado

melted Monterey Jack cheese was mixed with mushrooms, onions and bell peppers and chorizo. Wrap in a tortilla and yum.

Anything with melted cheese is alright by me.

Fuck this shit, I have to pick one... Do you even know what splurging means..?
I never restrict my eating... If i'm hungry I eat. When I want to have a bottle of wine all alone I do. (usualy my boyfriend joins though...) When I feel like chocolate I have some... If I feel like having lots and lots of chocolate, I do. When I have a craving for Chicken cordon blue I have some... etc etc etc, My body tells me what I need, and I oblige. But that's just the way I roll, The point is I have never rolled anywhere.
Maybe you guys should try not to limit yourselves so much There's a whole world out there filled with cullinary delights.. cakes and tarts and cream and cheese... mmmmm CHEESE!!!!! and starch like patato salad, croisants, eclairs, turkish delight, coconut ice and fudge and stacks and stacks of lollies
You can always settle for the cummibears if you feel you need some excersise after your REAL splurge. or just stick your finger down your throught.

Well if you had moved closer to the gay state rather than further into Oklahoma I might've known that already.

In due time...actually, i'm done crying about being here. I think it has made me humble. Had I blossomed into a muscled youth in a gay area, lord, I think i'd be dead already. But, instead, I did so here and with an absence of abundant gay ass, I was able to internalize a lot of energy I'd have probably wasted on carnal exploits. Yes, I think I am better for it and when I am ready, i'll leave here to persue life and love with one man.

Oh, and I like

Hey dood, I've been a darkchocoholic since a wee kid...waaay before the whole "antioxidants-are-good-for-you" craze. Back then, my friends thought I was a freak for craving that bittersweet treat...LOOK WHO'S LAUGHING NOW, BITCHES!

First of all, thank you for calling me "young'uns" . Secondly, I still consider food as a friend, not an enemy. I eat what I want, but slightly altered to fit my new lifestyle. Portion control has become a lot easier these days.

The way I see it, I'm gonna die anyway so I might as well make the best of it.

I'm having fun!

This is going to sound hippy-dippy, but one of my favorite "good" treats is a rice cake smeared with some natural peanut butter. But that's just because I love peanut butter. I could eat it right out of the jar with the spoon. And have done. Many times.

But not anymore.

Much.

Well, we young-ins should live (eat) it up while we can. As for me. I order as much food as I can eat from Bento's Cafe (sushi place).
